About Caring People Services

Professional Caregivers for the Elderly or Disabled

Care Management & Elder Advocacy

Joni Hogancamp and Carolyn Roberts RN have a large staff of responsible, dependable, compassionate, and caring people who attend to the needs of seniors with health issues, the fragile elderly, and the disabled of all ages in the western Kentucky counties known as the Purchase area (Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Marshal, McCracken). Services are also sometimes available in some parts of the bordering counties of Livingston and Lyon dependent upon staffing availability.

 >  Caregivers are bonded and have had criminal background checks, drug testing, and health screens.
 >  Supervisory staff are available “on-call” 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.
 >  FREE evaluation and initial consultations are available by appointment.
 >  An RN experienced in dealing with geriatrics and disabilities can assist with care management issues.
 >  Services are available for clients of all ages.
 >  Short term assistance is also available while recovering from illness or surgery.
 >  Caring People Services often partners with traditional Home Health or Hospice.
 >  It is not necessary to use Caring People Services exclusively and families often have private sitters or family who provide part of the care while this agency helps fill in the gaps.
 >  Every attempt is made to use the smallest number of different staff possible as using the same staff repeatedly minimizes confusion and discomfort. Each client has a “care team” that is able to fill in for staff illness or scheduling conflicts where ever possible.
>  Three levels of service are available 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, and even on holidays. The costs are the same whether during the week or on weekends but there is an additional charge for some holiday hours.

These service levels include:

  • SITTERS: who provide supervision and limited assistance in hospitals and nursing homes. This service is also available in assisted living facilities and private homes-but only at night in these settings.
  • HOMEMAKERS: who provide basic housekeeping services, cooking, shopping, and errands.
  • PERSONAL HELPERS: who assist with bathing, dressing, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care.
