Charge List & Explanation of Services

***For Third Party Payors: Please note that the charges above are for private pay cases only. Third party payor rates will vary according the care intensity and billing processes. Individual quotes are available at the time of specific referral information by contacting Caring People Services at 270-575-4529.

Hospital/Skilled Nursing Facility Sitting:

$13.00/hr (8 A.M. - 8 P.M.) $14.00/hr (8 P.M. - 8 A.M.)
(Please note there will be an additional $1.00 per hour for requests less than 4 hours during the day. Night shifts must be at least 8 hours.)

This is companion service only. Any hands-on assistance must be individually approved by both Caring People Services and hospital/facility staff.
Hands-on assistance (even when approved) will include only help with meal trays/feeding and assistance to walk to the bathroom if gait is stable.

No bathing, assistance with medications, or participation in other daily care.

In-Home/Assisted Living Facility Services: ( Minimum of 3 hours per visit)

         Sitter/Companion: (Available 8 P.M. - 8 A.M. only) $14.00/hr
            Supervision & socialization
                Preparation of snacks & light meals
                 Reminders & assistance to take medications
                    (if pre-prepared by family or Home Health)

        Homemaker/Companion:
           $15.00/hr (4 hrs. or more)        $16.50/hr (3 hours)

Includes all Sitter/Companion services, plus:
Light housekeeping - This includes tasks that affect the client's daily health and routines, but does not include heavy cleaning, such as windows and walls.

Examples:

Vacuuming	Dishes	Mopping
Taking out trash	Bathrooms	Pet Care
Laundry	Changing linens
Assistance with correspondence and entertainment
Shopping and errands (Staff may not drive client in staff car but may drive client's car by special arrangement)

Personal Helper:
$16.50/hr (4 hrs. or more) $18.50/hr (3 hrs.)

                  Includes all Homemaker/Companion services, plus:
                    Assistance with bathing & dressing
                Assistance with toileting & incontinence care
                    Assistance with transfers when skilled transfers are required

Levels of service necessary may vary within a single day, dependent upon the actual needs of the client.

For example:
The client may need the Personal Helper level of service for 4 hours in the morning, and then may require only the level of Homemaker/Companion for the remainder of the day.

(Please note: Billing for “day by day” sitter services is sent at the end of services. For on-going services, invoices are mailed at the beginning of the month for which services are scheduled. Refunds will be made as appropriate for any interrupted service.)

Mileage:

Mileage charges apply at 45¢ / mile for errands when the employee uses his or her own car.

Shift Changes:

Shift changes are preferred no earlier than 8 A.M. or no later than 10 P.M. A minimum of 8 hours is required for night shifts.

HOLIDAY CHARGE RATES

Because it is challenging to find PRN staff to work on holidays, it is unavoidable that rates for these times be higher to allow for staff compensation.

The holiday rates are as follows and apply to the hours listed below:

Homemaker/Companion (3-4 hour shift)      $16.50/hr - - - - - $24.75/hr

Personal Helper (At least 4 hour shift)      $16.50/hr - - - - - $24.75/hr
Personal Helper (3-4 hour shift)      $18.50/hr - - - - - $27.75/hr
